Midi in Pink
Y'all, it's my BIRTHDAY WEEK! Tomorrow I will no longer be feelin' 22, and now I'm really wishing that my girl T-Swift would write an awesome song about being 23 ... This week is going to be full of tons of amazing food, time spent with some of my favorite people, and I will definitely be rocking this outfit on more than one occasion. I'm seriously so obsessed!
I've always avoided midi skirts and dresses for the simple fact that I'm only 5'2 ... For some reason I had it in my head that short girls can't rock this trend, and boy was I wrong! Throw on some shoes that give you a little bit of a boost, and you're good to go! No one was more surprised than I was to find that I fell in love with this dress as soon as I put it on. The color is perfect for Spring, you can dress it up with a leather jacket (LOVE this one), style it like I have with some classic denim, or wait until the temperatures rise a little bit and wear it as is! I promised myself I wouldn't start talking about the weather, but COME ON. It was literally 40 degrees outside on Saturday ... Let's just hope for some really gorgeous weather from here on out!
On another note, can we go back to this dress for a second? For the longest time I stayed away from the color pink ... I don't know what it was about it, I've just never really loved the color. That is until this mauve and blush trend started popping up everywhere. I'm officially declaring certain shades of pink as a neutral, and there's definitely going to be a lot more of around here starting with this dress + all of these pretty little accent links throughout my site!
P.S. For those of you who don't follow along on Instagram yet, this is your first peek at my new hair! I was feeling super bored with the flat dark color + mixed things up with a little bit of balayage ... What do you think? I'm completely in love with it!
