Embroidered Babydoll Dress
The title of this post pretty much gives it away that there was no way I couldn't make room in my closet for this dress! Give me anything that's cut in a babydoll style with pretty embroidered detail, and it might as well have my name written right on it. Not to mention the fact that it's supposed to look a tad bit wrinkled so that's always a win in my book! Where are my low maintenance gals at? π―
A few things to note ... I ordered it in my typical size (medium), and it's definitely made to be loose fitting. If I wasn't rocking a bump I would have probably ordered one size down. Speaking of the bump, don't be put off by the length at all! It seems a bit short on me (especially since I'm not the tallest person in the world π), but this baby in my belly makes it come up a bit shorter than it would otherwise.
Other than that? I really think it speaks for itself! The pretty white floral details are what sold me as soon as I saw it online. This dress will be on repeat for me for a very long time! I know I say that a lot, but I think it also helps that I rarely post things on my blog that I'm not totally obsessed with. π It's definitely a favorite! The couple of times I've worn it I've had complete strangers (and family) comment on how cute it is. So, if that doesn't mean it's a keeper, I don't know what does!
And on that note, I'm totally rambling. Writing has been a bit of struggle lately because my brain is just not working like I need it to these days. It makes for some really hilarious conversations in real life, but when I'm actually trying to make sense and type out a blog post? Not so much. The struggle is so real, y'all. π I'm off to heat up a lasagna that my sweet momma made us, catch up on a few episodes of Designated Survivor with Sean, and cuddle up on the couch for the rest of the night with him and our pup!

For the fellow momma-to-be
If you're a momma-to-be who hasn't totally been won over by maternity clothes yet, this dress was made for you! It's made to fit a bit roomier so there's plenty of space for your growing bump, and let's be real here, babydoll dresses have the tendency to make some of us look pregnant even when we're not. π
Styles like this are my go-to silhouette normally, but I've noticed that these types of pieces, though crazy comfortable, aren't the best at really showing off my bump. I had more than one person tell me that they couldn't even tell I was pregnant until I did the signature "I'm pregnant therefore my hand has to be resting on my belly" stance. π Please tell me I'm not the only one!
All in all, I'll totally be wearing this dress until my belly makes it too short for me to feel comfortable in it. And honestly? I'll probably rock it with some white jeans as a tunic when that day comes!
